Who we are
This site is operated by Caruso Consulting Co Ltd, trading as Bird Spikes Company. You can reach us at theteam@birdspikes.co.nz.
What we collect
- Your name, delivery address, billing address, email address and phone number if you give one.
- What you ordered, when, and what you paid.
- Anything you write to us, so we can answer it and refer back to it.
- Standard website analytics about how pages are used.
We do not receive or store your card details. Card payments are handled by Stripe and PayPal on their own systems, and we see only whether the payment succeeded.
Why we collect it
To take your order, pack it, get it to you and support it afterwards; to answer your questions; and to keep the business records the law requires us to keep.
Who we share it with
Only the parties needed to complete your order: the payment provider, the courier, the provider that sends our order emails, and our analytics provider. We do not sell your information to anyone.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept for as long as tax and business record-keeping requires. Enquiry emails are kept while they are useful and then deleted.
Your rights under the Privacy Act 2020
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you and ask for it to be corrected. Email theteam@birdspikes.co.nz and we will respond within the time the Act allows.
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
